The National Issues Committee and the Seminars, Workshops and Programmes Committee of the OPA jointly organized a seminar on “Disaster Management and Recovery” on the 21^st of January at the OPA Auditorium. The event featured Professor Dilanthi Amaratunga, Professor of Disaster Risks and Climate Resilience, Loughborough University, UK, Mr. Prabath Chandrakeerthi, Commissioner General of Essential Services, Mr. Chathura Liyanaarchchi, Director Preparedness, Disaster Management Centre and Mr. Chinthaka Rathnasiri, Director, Human Settlements, Planning and Training Division, National Building Research Organization as guest speakers.
