The National Issues Committee and the Seminars, Workshops and Programmes Committee of the OPA jointly organized a seminar on “Disaster Management and Recovery” on the 21st of January at the OPA Auditorium. The Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA) is a body of Professionals presently belonging to, 52 member associations catering to 34 disciplines with a total membership of over 60,000.



Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA) at the Annual General Meeting
Mr. Jayantha Gallehewa was ceremonially sworn in as the 45th President of the Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA) for the 2025/2026 term at its Annual General Meeting held on 31st October 2025.
Prior to his election as President, Mr. Gallehewa held several key positions within the OPA, including Vice President and Assistant Secretary. He also successfully chaired the committees responsible for the 38th Annual Conference and the 4th Apex Awards, both held in August 2025.
A former President of the Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM), Mr. Gallehewa was the first Sri Lankan to receive the prestigious International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management President’s Award. With his forward-thinking leadership, Mr. Jayantha Gallehewa will strengthen the OPA’s mission to promote excellence, foster synergy, and contribute to national development.

Mr. Tisara De Silva was elected as the President-Elect at the Organisation of Professional Associations (OPA) at the Annual General Meeting which was held on the 31st of October, 2025.
