A seminar on “Small is the New Smart: How Small Language Models Will Shape the Future AI”, jointly organized by the Seminars, Workshops and Programmes Committee of the OPA and the Engineers’ Guild of Sri Lanka, was held at the OPA auditorium on the 9^th of February. The expert resource person for the programme was Dr. Lahiru Ariyasinghe, Head of Competency Excellence – Data Engineering & Data Science at Axiata Digital Labs. His presentation was followed by a Q & A session moderated by Dr. Tharaka Mohotty, media consultant and former Chairman – IET and former CEO – Swarnawahini.
