A seminar on “Impact of the Budget on the National Economy –Way Forward” was conducted by the Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka on 19th November, 2025 at the OPA Auditorium. The Keynote Speaker was Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, Secretary to the Treasury and Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development while the panel of expert guest speakers consisted of Mr. J. P. R. Karunaratne, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka; Ms. S. Iyesha Asanthi, Commissioner of Tax Policy and Legislation at the Department of Inland Revenue; and Dr. Nishan De Mel, Director of Verité Research.
