The Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka is a body of Professionals presently belonging to 52 Member Associations catering to 34 disciplines with a total membership of over 60,000.

The activities of the OPA are decided and implemented by 15 committees comprising members of the member associations. The reports of the committees are presented to the Executive Committee at the scheduled monthly meetings for discussion and adoption. Our committees include Management, Membership, Finance and Budget, Seminars &Workshops , National Issues, Career Guidance, National Security, Health & Nutrition etc. The highlight of the year is the Annual Conference which is held towards the end of the Presidential Term and is based on a relevant theme.

In addition to the above, sports and social activities take place, including Sinhala and Tamil New Year and Christmas parties with children as the main focus. During crisis periods such as floods and drought, the OPA plays a vital role in alleviating the suffering of the citizenry.
