Seminar on ‘Trends and Challenges in Management of Ageing ‘

The Senior Professionals Committee and the Health and Nutrition Committee of the Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA) jointly conducted a seminar on the theme “Trends & Challenges In Management Of Ageing” recently. The main focus was the wellbeing of the senior Professionals attached to the OPA.

The event organised by the two committees featured Prof. Sudath Warnakulasuriya-Dean Faculty of Nursing at the University of Colombo, Dr. Sarath Rathnayake – Senior Lecturer of Nursing, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of the University of Peradeniya and Dr. Sanath Hettige – Chairman of the OPA Health and Nutrition Committee and a consultant of family medicine as guest speakers. Eng. Shantha Senarath, a Past President of OPA and the Moderator of the seminar, delivering the introductory speech mentioned that the objective of the seminar is to find the real meaning of ageing and also how ageing can be slowed down.
