The Annual Avurudu Celebrations of the OPA were held on the 27^th of April at the at the OPA premises. Organised by the Social Events, Outreach Programmes and Young Professionals’ Committee, the event provided a wonderful opportunity for OPA members as well as the staff, together with their families, to participate in a variety of traditional games and activities while enjoying live music and delicious food. 

Some of the games that those present – especially the children – joined in enthusiastically included musical chairs, bun eating, breaking pots, threading the needle and placing the dot on the elephant. The event concluded with the Avurudu Kumaraya and Avurudu Kumari contest and the winners of the various contests receiving valuable prizes.
